 Christopher Doering was a former college and professional football player who was a wide receiver in the NFL for seven seasons. But his career didnt start off easy and he had to OVERCOME many obstacles to get to where he is today! His story is truly inspiring and he has quite the humble personality. Chris is the ideal candidate to explain that its always your time to shine BUT not always according to your plan!

Although Chris was a standout athlete in high school he was left on the sidelines and was not offered any scholarship to any college in the country. Born and raised in Gainesville his dreams were shattered when he was not given a scholarship to play for the University of Florida Gators. He ended up being a walk-on at the university and was redshirted for his first year.  Doering not only earned a scholarship eventually because he trusted the process, but the former walk-on set records: Doering caught 149 receptions (sixth best in Gators history) for 2,107 yards (tenth best in Gators history) and 31 touchdowns  (best in Gators and 2nd best in SEC history as DeVonta Smith of Alabama broke this record November 21, 2020 vs Kentucky ) during his career at Florida.

After college Chris then had to jump through hoops again as he was selected in the 6th round in the NFL draft and then was quickly traded after being selected. Throughout his NFL career he continuously started over with several new teams and had to find his way getting acclimated in new environments while still being a successful athlete as he played on several teams all over the country, 7 to be exact. As his NFL career came to an end and his personal circumstances began to change he had to once again plant his feet on the ground and start over. He then opened a mortgage company and began his new career in the real estate and finance industries. Chris is living proof that if you stay the course the rewards will come! The Doering Mortgage Firm has a true family environment and most of the staff has been with the company over 15 years, majority of the loan officers and processors were with Chris from the moment he opened the companies doors. Chris now is also a sports analyst for the ESPN/SEC Network following college football and still makes regular TV/Radio appearances. Chris Doering continues to motivate and inspire others to be great and have patience as he did while he was finding his purpose and pursuing his dreams.
